Bishop Dr. Lilia A. Bayne is Senior Pastor at Triumphant Full Gospel Assembly (TFGA), an inner-city church in Brooklyn, New York. She has served in TFGA for the entire life of the church. She was spiritually nurtured by the late Bishop Harold L. Joseph and the late Rev. Dr. Eleonora Joseph.
Bishop Bayne is a woman of vision and faith. She believes that the Word of God is true and is able to move all obstacles. She wears various hats as she serves as wife, mother, sister, friend, pastor, entrepreneur, educator, writer, and counselor. She is a published author and certified professional life coach.
Bishop Bayne has traveled extensively. Her message is the Good News of the Kingdom; Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. She also ministers the Word of God fluently in Spanish. She is the General Overseer of Ministerio Triunfante en Cristo , and Triumphant Gospel Ministries , both located in Panama City, Panamá, and various other local fellowships. Bishop Bayne is the executive director of the Triumphant Breakthrough Food Pantry. This organization feeds the local community and beyond, presently celebrating 33 years of service (as of 2022).
The State of New York, local assemblies and other institutions have recognized Bishop Bayne for her dedicated service not only to the Body of Christ, but also to our local community, society and our nation at large. These accolades have taken the form of citations, awards and certificates. Among them are included citations from the New York State Assembly and the Attorney General of the State of New York.
Bishop Bayne has earned a Doctorate of Christian Psychology, Doctorate of Philosophy in Christian Counseling and more recently a Ph.D. in Psychology of Christian Counseling. She is also the recipient of an honorary Doctorate Degree in Ministry.
Bishop Bayne is the author of “The Color of Glory,” which is also available in Spanish (El Color De Gloria) published by Xulon Press. Additionally, she has co-authored and published posthumously “Season Nuggets”, along with her mother, the late Rev. Dr. Eleonora Joseph. As a teacher, she served for 35 years as Founder and Executive Director of TFGA’s daycare and pre-kindergarten school known as Triumphant Dear God Christian Center (TDGCC). For 15 years, TDGCC was also an active and licensed participant in Pre-K For All sponsored by the NYC Board of Education. Dr. Bayne presently serves as President of the accredited Empowering Leaders Bible Institute and Seminary (E.L.I.) located in Brooklyn, New York.
Bishop Bayne and her husband Bishop Dr. Melvin E. Bayne Sr. now celebrate 55 years of marriage. Both are servants at TFGA and are the proud parents/grandparents of three “adult” children and two grandchildren.
